Sausage and Grape

This is definitely a recipe that is one hubs and I just love. It’s easy and great for a quick dinner. Kids love it because it is tasty. I learned it from my Italian God-mother when I was a young bride looking for cheap easy meals that I could even cook.

1 sausage per person.
1 cup of green seedless grapes sliced in half
1 cup of purple seedless grapes sliced in half
½ cup of red wine or chicken broth if you don’t want to use alcohol. The best is the wine.

Slice the sausage and brown in olive oil until cooked and slightly brown. Pour the wine and/or broth over the sausage to deglaze the pan. Let simmer for about 5mins.
Add grapes and let the wine and/or broth reduce for about ten minutes, and pour over whole wheat spaghetti or whatever type of pasta you like. Add a salad and you’ve got a meal in about 30mins that is easy and healthy if you use chicken sausage.
